The associated petroleum gas generator set is a power generation system specifically designed for the associated gas of oil fields (containing methane, ethane, propane and small amount of H₂S, CO₂ and other complex components), and it has remarkable technical advantages.

The core principle of an associated petroleum gas generator set is to use an internal combustion engine or gas turbine as the power of source, and through efficient combustion of associated gas mainly composed of methane (usually requiring a methane content of ≥70%), directly convert the chemical energy of the gas into electrical energy. The entire power generation process is optimized through advanced pressurization and cooling systems to ensure maximum power generation efficiency.
Component requirements: The proportion of methane must be higher than 70%; meanwhile, the content of hydrogen sulfide should be lower than 20 mg/Nm³, and the moisture content should be less than 40 g/Nm³.
Pressure range: The intake pressure should be stably maintained between 80 and 200 kPa, and the fluctuation rate per minute should be controlled within 1 kPa.
Associated petroleum gas, if not treated, usually contains impurities such as hydrogen sulfide and moisture, if these impurities directly enter the combustion system, they will not only severely corrode the equipment but also cause excessive harmful emissions. Therefore, it is essential to first undergo professional desulfurization (such as the amine method) and dehydration (such as molecular sieve) treatments to ensure the fuel meets the strict standards of the set. This is crucial for ensuring equipment safety, extending its service life, and complying with environmental protection regulations.
